One of the biggest problems we had with the apartment was the storage and counter space in the kitchen. The counter space we have is pretty small – about 5 feet or so. That may seem like a lot for prepping and cooking, but if you put a toaster, a coffee machine and a couple of other things you’ll suddenly realized you’ve run out space!
Since the kitchen is narrow and we can’t fit a decent sized table on the opposite wall, our solution was to create a little “breakfast nook” that houses all the necessary things to make coffee, tea, and toast. We bought a little table with shelves underneath it to store dry food like flour, sugar, rice and pasta. The table was 40€ from Casa (have I mentioned that I love that store? I guess I have…) and the glass jars are from Ikea. The colorful cups and such are also from Casa, Zara Home, Guerra San Martin, and some other stores. I’ve since added a white ceramic container was actually from the bathroom section of Zara Home, but I didn’t have any use for it there, and liked it so much that I decided to use it for sugar (it was on clearence for 2€, too!).
Hopefully I’ll be able to take decent pictures this week or next (my camara is still acting weird…) and I’ll share what we’ve done to add a ton of storage and counter space to the kitchen!

Eeee! I’m so glad you found me… because that means I could find you! And how adorable, and well put together is *your* blog?! I love-love it.
This bfast nook is perfect. Trying to figure out how to implement one in the beach pad. . And I can’t wait to explore the rest of what else you have on here… …
