First of all, I’m sorry for my lack of posting yesterday – I had finished writing the post when my internet connection collapsed. Apparently, there’s something wrong with our router & cable box, and we can’t have both the TV on or the Internet on at the same time. But we didn’t realize that until very late yesterday! And it’s still not fixed. Anyway, onto the post.

I’m so happy it’s Friday! We have a long weekend ahead of us and lots of things on our agenda. I’ve been working on some secret stuff lately, which I’ll finally be sharing next week, either on Monday or on Wednesday at the latest, I promise. But fret not, I have a great before & after today: we’ve already painted the board & batten treatment wall in the living room, and it looks great. Here are the “in progress” shots to refresh your memory:

The “before”

And the after!

We’re in love with it (is that weird?). It defines that part of the room (the dining nook) much better now, and it makes our small living room seem a tad bigger. Now, we still have to fix the crooked radiator issue, and there’s some touching up to do (part of the white paint seeped through the tape and what should be blue is now white, ugh), plus we want to add some art to that wall. And now I realize how awkwardly the lamp is hanging from the ceiling, because it’s not centered on top of the table, but I’m not so sure we can do anything about that (if we centered it on the table it would be way too close to the wall). Can you tell I can’t sit down for a minute? I always have to keep myself busy doing something. Anyway. We love the look. So much, in fact, that maybe we’ll continue it on other walls? We’ll see.
What do you guys think? Does it look nice? Should we do the same thing to the other walls in the living room and in the entrance? Have a great weekend everyone!

I think the wall looks great! I think it would look great in other rooms, too. Hopefully, fixing the radiator isn’t too much of a nightmare.
What a great job, I just love the board and batten look. It is elegant and cozy.
I have always wanted to do this to one of our bedrooms.
Thanks! You’ll have to try it!
It turned out lovely! Not weird at all to love it, lol!
Haha, glad to hear that Kelly!
Wow honey- this looks incredible! It came out beautifully. If only our walls weren’t textured, I’d be on the board and batten bandwagon too
I wish you didn’t live in Spain because I’ve been trying to find that paint color that is on your walls for AGES!!! I’m guessing the paint brand you used is not available here in the US.
I talked about it to my boyfriend the other day and he’s pretty sure we might have some of the cans of paint hidden in the garage, even though I couldn’t find them a while ago. The color isn’t a specific brand, it’s just something similar to a hex code, so maybe it’ll work in the US? I’ll check it out tomorrow.
I know, we’ve tried a couple of things already but no luck so far. We’ll have to think about something else to fix it.
