Shoes Shoes Shoes

[Huge problem still not solved. We're slowly inching towards the solution though.]

The shoes are here, they’re here, they’re here! After months and months of looking for them, I found them several weeks ago online. They were the green-yellowish version of a pair I had tried on in black at a nearby store and they were perfect. Unfortunately, they were sold out in my size with no way to restock them. Cue the sad trombone…

That’s when I went crazy and I e-mailed all the stores that carried that brand in Spain. When they all told me they didn’t have them, I expanded my search to the UK. Also negative. Then I went ahead and talked to a few stores in Belgium, since my brother is studying there. No dice. I had resigned myself to look for something else, so I did. I looked everywhere. Every shoe store I saw, I went inside. And in Berlin, there are a lot of them! Unfortunately none of them had anything I really liked. (Good thing, also, since most of them were really really expensive).

And then I came back from Berlin… and as I stared at the shoes in the computer screen it hit me. They offer free shipping and free returns. I should just order the shoes and try them on, just in case, you know? Plus they were on sale for 144€, and I didn’t want to spend more than 200€ so they fit the bill. Exactly three days later, they were in my arms!

The verdict? For starters, they’re more yellow and brighter than I imagined (although the pictures don’t do them justice, they’re greener in person, definitely). I still love them though, plus they work very well with a few dresses I already have (so I’ll be able to wear them in the future). Do they fit me? Well… not quite. They’re open on one side so I can get them in, but I obviously don’t want my feet to hurt all day. So now I have a few days to decide whether I want to return them or try and make them work. I’ve googled around for tricks to enlarge shoes (most of them involve sticking them in the freezer) and I’ll also be talking to a shoemaker/repairer to see if they can do something about it. Also, they’re my mom’s size so maybe she’ll keep them if I decide they don’t work for me. They’re so cute though! They have this clipping system that allows you to change accessories.  They come with two of them (green/purple flowers and a gray bow) but you can buy more if you want to. That’s why I’ve pictured both options. Also, the heels are not too high, which is great because I don’t wear heels. Ever.

So what’s your advice? Should I just return them and keep looking? I’m quite desperate though!

Love the colour!! I have bright yellow shoes too and mine were also a NIGHTMARE to find so I feel your pain! I would definitely see if you can make them work…. I’m not sure if there is a way. Comfort is pretty key though. I’m worried about my choice now because I wore them around my moms place this past weekend and they were a bit hard to walk in… hoping I can make them work and I’m going to pick up a pair of flats to wear as well (always good to have a back up!). Good luck with deciding- I’m hoping they work out for you!!

These are pretty comfortable actually! I’m still looking for a pair of flats though. A back up is definitely key!

I don’t know how small they are, but taking them to a shoemaker may really help. I had a pair stretched and they really were looser (but have them do it slowly so they don’t get too stretched).

Thanks Kelly! Since they’re open on one side and on the toes they’re not too small (although they’re a size smaller than what I usually wear) so if my mom says she’ll keep them I’ll try everything I can! I obviously can’t try anything if I plan on returning them haha.

Did they have them in a size larger or only smaller? bacause a larger size you can add gel insoles at the front and back.
IF they’re good quality shoes and made of natural materials you should definitely be able to get them to stretch though!

They had them one size down and two sizes up only, so I picked the small one. They’re pretty good quality (I actually read that the brand is becoming popular because the princess of Denmark has been photographed with them) and they’re made of natural materials. We’ll see!

Yeah they were definitely hard to find! They fit my mom really well and they’re just a bit tight on me (especially on the right foot, which is half a size bigger than my left one) so we’re keeping them :)

These shoes are adorable (I think I like them best with the flowers but the ribbon is fun, too!). You are going to want comfy shoes, or at the very least a second pair to change into. I loved my shoes (still do) but they were a bit on the tall side so my feet got tired and I had to change.

These ones aren’t too tall and they’re actually quite comfortable even though they’re a bit small. Plus they fit my mom so we’re keeping them, yay! I’m still looking for a pair of flats though, just in case I want to change.

I think they’re gorgeous although I was a little confused on the style until you said that the clips have a matching pair rather than they’re always mismatched. With the open toe you might be able to make them fit! Until you have to return them I’d search like crazy (sounds like you’ve done this already) for something you love more that will fit.

Yeah the clips come in pairs haha. My mom loves the shoes too and they fit her so we’ll keep them :)

I was also confised about the clips!
I would take them and get them s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d

I have a she stretcher at home, and it has served my inbetween sized feet well!!!
